comic

There are so many comics in the world that I love to know the ending. Yesterday I read those comics :

Chevalier Ardent’s ending ; not quite understandable, but Ardent really transformed from a wild-hot-head young boy into a macho chevalier and get Gwendoline (King Arthur’s daughter) as his girl friend. Hm, did the King’s really has a daughter? I’m not a keen into Camelot story but maybe someday I’ll read it.

4 As. This comic really rocks. Really funny! Still, I was dissapointed by the coloring decline. I found coloring thing in 4 As and the snow dragon (serial number around 1-10) is better than the last series. Strange, because this case is different than “Tanguy and Laverdure” case, where Goscinny is replaced by Jije and I stop to read their story because I have already too familiar with Gosciny’s drawing style.
Not end.

Jeanette Pointu. One of the comic has a CD music as bonus! Kewl, it consist of many ethnic songs from around the world. During the last 3 series, Wasterlain prefer to create short story about many world female and Sarah, as a journalist of course, grab their stories. Chick kick ass. Jeanette get slimmer too. Not end.

Natascha. There aren’t many change, always around her stewardess airplane adventure. She is really hot. Not end.

I’d like to see more but I didn’t have much time. Oh well…until next time then.

English version : http://www3.sympatico.ca/brooksdr/haddock/main.htm

I like the French version the most. Because they are funny!
For example for “Ten Thousand Thundering Typhoons” it’s original version was : “Mille millions de mille sabords”. Different meanings. “Sabords” is neither “thundering” nor “typhoons”, but a PORT (to place canon).

Why did Herge choose this curse? I read the information from Haddock’s Curse book, and according to that manual “mille sabords” is really a marinir curse! Interesting, euh?

Who could erase the memorable Marlinspike Hall from Tintin’s fans mind? The model for that hall is Château de Cheverny, Loire Valley, a beautiful place in south France.

Just take a good look at their similarity :

We could also find Tintin’s room here!

I read Tintin and the Alph-Art story drawn by a Canadian artist. His work is really amazing. I hardly notice the difference between Hérge’s plot and his plot. Of course his version is a pirate one.

Anyway, in the Tintin Unknown website I also found several deleted scene pages of Destination Moon and Prisioner of the Sun.

Read it here : http://www.theunknowntintin.tk/ Hérge did a wise decision, to cut down several Calculus interview scene which I think is not THAT funny..

Very nostalgic indeed, finding those lost scenes.

Look at this : http://mapage.noos.fr/dardelf3/tintin/
And choose your Tintin car. I prefer a classic Packard 1938, really kick ass!

Also known as : Objectif Lune (Belge) Ekspedisi ke Bulan (Indonesia) But in my humble opinion there is a big difference between Objectif/Destination and Ekspedisi. Ekspedisi is an “expedition”. I don’t know why the local publisher chose the word “Ekspedisi” instead of “Tujuan” (destination)
Talk about Destination.. Here’s a capture of Tintin In Tibet, the first page, from http://sarkozix.canalblog.com.

This is the larger version : http://sarkozix.canalblog.com/images/objectif_une.jpg.

Read the baloon text, but don’t expect a nice mountain conversation between Tintin and Haddock. It has been replaced with a bunch of critics about Sarkozy, a famous French interior minister and politician! I will give you the translation in bahasa later..
